We are a small club of enthusiastic members who enjoy a common interest in photography.
We normally meet at Resthaven Village Centre, 4 Vogel St. Cambridge on the last Wednesday of the month, at 7.30pm. See here for location and directions of venue.

Our club consists of members of all skill, knowledge & experience levels.
From the beginner with their first camera just starting out, to some with greater skill & experience and everything in between.
Some enjoying photography as a hobby, some with a passion for all things photography and some being more commercial as a source of income.
With varying interests in landscape, portrait, street, macro, food, nature, wildlife, astro and other genres.

The aim of the club is to share knowledge & experiences to improve our photography with like minded people in a casual and social way. This may be through club night speakers, workshops & tutorials, competitions, field trips, local walkabouts or through sharing and member critique on our club closed Facebook group etc.

We have a competition every alternate month with workshops in between. We also try to have the odd day out followed by an exhibition somewhere in the town.

In 2006 we expanded our knowledge, and joined the PSNZ (Photographic Society of New Zealand). Our aim, to become more competitive in our photography. We are now able to compete in the Interclub Salons that are run throughout New Zealand.

In July 2022 our club was renamed to Cambridge Photography Club (formerly Cambridge Camera Club). To better reflect the purpose of the club in this day and age, to being about more than just the camera to photography as a whole.
